Starting lineup, official team news, and the most recent injury updates for Liverpool’s Carabao Cup matchup against Fulham

Liverpool have Andrew Robertson and Curtis Jones in the squad for their Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Fulham.

The Reds take a slender lead to Craven Cottage after a thrilling comeback win at Anfield earlier this month, with Jones and Cody Gakpo scoring quick-fire goals after Willian had given the Cottagers lead.

Robertson has not featured since undergoing shoulder surgery on a problem picked up while away on international duty with Scotland in October.

Assistant manager Pep Lijnders confirmed the defender would travel to west London and he is named on the bench, with it always unlikely he will start both because of how long he’s been out as well as Joe Gomez’s form.

Jones, meanwhile, came off towards the end of Sunday’s 4-0 win over Bournemouth but only as a precaution.

Liverpool do not have either of Trent Alexander-Arnold or Dominik Szoboszlai to call on for Wednesday’s game but the pair will likely be fit for their FA Cup game against Norwich on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah is absent with a hamstring injury after being ruled out for around a month. Jarell Quansah gets the nod to partner Virgil van Dijk, while Diogo Jota has to settle for a place on the bench.

Starting XI: Kelleher, Bradley, Quansah, Van Dijk, Gomez, Mac Allister, Elliott, Gravenberch, Diaz, Nunez, Gakpo Subs: Alisson, Konate, Jones, Jota, Robertson, Clark, McConnell, Beck, Nyoni
