Beever-Jones: I love the club with all of my heart.

Aggie Beever-Jones says it is an honour to play for the badge after committing her immediate future to Chelsea by signing a new contract with her childhood club.

A product of the Chelsea Academy, the 20-year-old forward has put pen to paper on a new deal with the Blues until the summer of 2026, with the option to extend for a further year, and has captured the attention with some fine form since being integrated into the senior side.

After signing her first professional contract with Chelsea in July 2021, Beever-Jones went on loan to Bristol City for the 2021/22 campaign. She signed a contract extension in 2022 ahead of a further loan spell with Everton during the 2022/23 season.

Since returning to Chelsea ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, she has scored six goals in 12 appearances. Her efforts have been duly rewarded and Beever-Jones has spoken affectionately on turning dreams into reality and the love she has for the place she calls home.

As one of our own, Beever-Jones has forged a pathway for young, up and coming talent and is a great example of the work being done within our Academy programme. She speaks passionately about her journey, her affinity with the supporters and what it means to represent the crest.

‘It’s been a long one, but most definitely a good one,’ said Aggie, moments after putting pen to paper. ‘The club means everything to me. Hopefully the fans like me, equally I love them as much.

‘They’ve always been there supporting myself and the team and it’s a real honour to be able to play for this badge.’

From being a ball girl at Kingsmeadow to stepping out onto the pitch as a Chelsea player, the young forward attempts to summarise what it means to have achieved her ambition and to be playing alongside players she idolised growing up.

‘There aren’t too many words to sum it up. I’m living the dream, I wake up everyday and I’m honoured to be able to share a pitch with the likes of Fran (Kirby) and people who I looked up to when I was younger.

‘Being a ball girl, I always wanted to play but whether it was going to become a reality was a different question. It’s surreal being able to do it every day, being able to score and help the team the best I can is the icing on the cake.’

Years of hard work, dedication and sacrifice became worth it when the 20-year-old scored her first Chelsea goal against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League at Kingsmeadow in October – a landmark moment in the early days of her senior Blues career.

‘It was a whole wave of emotion,’ added the striker. ‘All the years of hard work, being young, having uncertain moments and not being sure where you’re going to end up or what you’re going to do. I remember Sjoeke (Nusken) squaring the ball to me and thinking, ‘this is my moment,’ and I was able to take it.

‘After the game, I went straight to my family and gave everyone a hug. I was a bit emotional because I didn’t think that day was ever going to come and when it did, it took me back a little bit. I’ll remember that day for the rest of my life and it kick started my journey this season.’

Feeling firmly at home in Chelsea blue, Beever-Jones has an unwavering desire to experience success both personally and collectively and believes she is in the right place to achieve her goals for the future.

‘I want to give everything I can to this club,’ added Aggie. ‘I want to achieve as much as I can, win as much as I can and to me, Chelsea is the best place for me.

‘I see my future here, I want to give as much as I can to the club, enjoy it and play with a smile on my face.’
