United in Focus had the absolute privilege of catching up with Sean Millis after his first Manchester United game at Old Trafford.
Rasmus Hojlund was on top form against West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday, scoring arguably his best-ever goal in a Red Devils shirt. His good luck charm? Well, some would say his birthday, but we would suggest it was the doing of one man who was watching on from the stands – Sean Millis.
The Aussie-born professional singer sprung to fame on the Australian Voice in 2023 but went viral late last year for his supposed likeness to Manchester United forward, Rasmus Hojlund.
United in Focus exclusively caught up with him to discuss the Danish forward, Old Trafford and his first-ever experience in the flesh as a Manchester United fan.
How was the game and what did you think of the Old Trafford atmosphere?
It was incredible. It couldn’t have been better. The atmosphere was loud! I mean, I expected it to be massive, but it was bigger than I ever thought it was going to be.
I kind of went numb when I first walked out and I had chills. My jaw just completely dropped. I fell in love with Old Trafford.
What was it like seeing Rasmus Hojlund in the flesh?
Gosh, it was insane! He got the first goal and I was shaking. I just could not stop shaking for the whole game after that happened.
His goal was an absolute banger as well. It was incredible, like, they were playing so well and it was just a beautiful game to watch and I just can’t express how grateful I was to be there.
How many goals do you think Rasmus Hojlund will now score this season?
I think he’s gonna get at least one or two in every game from now! I think he’s crushing it and the sky is the limit from here. I’m so happy for him after his turn in form, he deserves it.
[Editor’s note: Hojlund has 10 games and there are 15 more league games to go, so that would take his end-of-season tally to at least 25 if he scores a goal per game]
If you could have any dream forward past or present to partner Rasmus Hojlund up front – who would you go for and why?
I wish it was me, but I’m not that good! So, in that case, I’m going to have to go for the greatest of all time – Cristiano Ronaldo.
