The WWE is reportedly open to changing plans for WrestleMania 40, as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Roman Reign’s stare down became the most disliked video on YouTube ever.
The segment from this past Friday’s episode of the wrestling show surpassed half a million dislikes in under 36 hours on the video sharing website, according to Wrestle Ops – a fan account on X, formerly known as Twitter. Out of the four million people who have watched the video, only 97,000 of them liked it.

Cody Rhodes, who won the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble, was in line to face Reigns at this year’s WrestleMania in April, though on Friday he announced that was no longer the case, as he instead brought out The Rock, who locked eyes with Reigns at the end of the show.
Rhodes was ‘professional backstage about the situation, but he seemed ”probably somber in retrospect”,’ given the snub, according to Sean Ross Sapp, of Fightful. Some sources believe that WWE either had motives, or may retract on pursuing the idea of ‘The Rock’ actually going head-to-head with Reigns, Sapp further reported.
A WWE source pointed out the reactions to The Rock on Friday were ‘preferable’ to the turmoil concerning Vince McMahon, who resigned from WWE’s parent company, TKO, after a sex abuse lawsuit was filed last week. Sapp reported that other sources felt similarly.
