Chelsea will reportedly consider an approach for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic this summer with Juventus said to be apprehensive about a scheduled rise in his wages. Upon signing in January 2022, the Italians apparently inserted a clause into his deal that sees his salary rise from €8m (£6.8m) to €12m (£10.5m) next season.
However, TuttoMercatoWeb claims the club can no longer afford his pay increase and so are trying to get him to renew his contract on reduced terms. Juventus were fined £17m and banned from UEFA competitions for breaching financial fair play rules last year, which has squeezed their already stringent budget.
A betting ban for Nicolo Fagioli was then handed out later in 2023, although the club are still managing to challenge for the Serie A title. Tutto Juve has named Chelsea as one club who are considering a transfer for Vlahovic while Atletico Madrid are also being linked.
