The Los Angeles Rams were in the bottom ten teams in the NFL last year in sacks, and the team could look to draft an edge rusher with the 19th pick in the upcoming draft. In a recent mock draft by NFL Draft on Fan Nation, they have the Rams taking Florida State edge rusher Jared Verse with their first-round pick and therefore drafting their future at the position.
Verse’s 6-4, 250 pound frame makes him an imposing presence to be running towards the quarterback. That build coupled with his well above average speed at the position makes for an absolute nightmare for opposing offensive lines. He ran a very impressive 4.58 in the 40-yard dash, which makes him one of the faster defensive linemen in the entire draft. After all of Verse’s drills in the Combine, he ranked as the second best edge in the draft.
