Knicks star Josh Hart spoke on Tom Thibodeau missing out on the NBAs….

New York Knicks’ mentor Tom Thibodeau possibly will not have enough votes to land the NBA’s Coach of the Year Award as the franchise was underrepresented.

On Sunday, in the list of NBA individual award finalists released, the Knicks abstained from seven major honors, Thibodeau, potential magnum opus in favor of Mark Daigneault (Oklahoma City), Chris Finch (Minnesota), and Jamahl Mosley (Orlando).

Knicks star Josh Hart spoke on his disappointment over Thibs getting snubbed out of the top three finalists for the award in the 2023-24 NBA season. He posted on X,

“50 wins, 2nd seed with an injured roster for half the season, and not a Coach Of The Year candidate.”

Hart pointed out that securing the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference with a 50-32 record was not expected. Especially with the Knicks missing key players for several games, including Julius Randle, who is done for the remainder of the campaign.

Thibs have won the Coach of the Year Award, his second, with the Knicks after the shortened 2020-21 season. He also won 50 games for the first time since his final season with the Chicago Bulls (2014-15) and guided the Knicks to their finest season since 2012-13.

In the first half of a late-season game in 2023, the Knicks were down eight at the half as Kispert, the Washington Wizards sharpshooter, had just walked all over.

Hart recalled,

“Corey f—ing Kispert!Corey f—ing Kispert! Corey f—ing Kispert. He said it like five times. … Every one just progressively got louder. How does Corey Kispert turn into Michael Jordan?!”
