As the 2024 NFL Draft approaches, it could be advantageous to have some seasoned leadership to support a rookie and play a part. One position that the Dallas Cowboys have a glaring need for as they head into the 2024 NFL draft is running back.
The Dallas Cowboys and free agent running back Ezekiel Elliott are reportedly now in meetings, according to Josina Anderson. Before signing a contract with the New England Patriots last season, he spent his first seven seasons as a player with the team. Elliott concluded the previous campaign with 184 rush attempts for 642 yards (3.5 yards per carry), three touchdowns on the ground, and 17 receptions for 33 yards and one touchdown.Ezoic
The Cowboys must decide who will carry the football for the team after losing running back Tony Pollard to the Tennessee Titans in free agency. The Cowboys appear to be interested in reuniting with the fourth choice in the 2016 NFL draft if Ezekiel Elliott is able to step up and perform well with a little more left in the tank.

In the 2024 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys will need to make a decision on their running back issue. Their needs are mostly on the offensive side of the ball, and they presently have seven picks in the draft. The draft selections they currently own are listed below.Ezoic
On the third day of the NFL Draft, they will primarily focus on attacking, although there are a few running backs that are very smart picks. One is Jonathan Brooks, a player from Austin, Texas. Although he had an ACL tear in November, he ought to be fully recovered before the start of the season. Being a strong runner, Brooks has the potential to contribute significantly to the Cowboys’ offense.
The running back from Wisconsin, Braelon Allen, would also fit in well. Throughout his undergraduate career, he averaged a running score per game and has excellent stature that makes him difficult to tackle. Additionally, Allen may be the draft class’s finest pass-catching running back.
