However, Aster Vranckx’s career has stagnated in the last few seasons. The seven-time Belgium international made just ten appearances while on loan at AC Milan in 2022–2023 and started just twelve games in the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg the previous season.
Now, with only 12 months left on his contract at the Volkswagen Arena, HITC understands that Wolfsburg would be willing to cash in for a fee in the region of £15 million.
