Fayetteville — The Arkansas baseball team failed to make a move in the SEC competition Saturday night at Baum-Walker Stadium.
The third-ranked Razorbacks lost 8-5 against 15th-ranked Mississippi State, tying their three-game series at one game each.
Arkansas (41-10, 18-8 SEC) could have tied Kentucky and Tennessee for the SEC lead with a win. Instead, the Razorbacks are one game behind those SEC East opponents with four games remaining in the regular season.
Arkansas maintained a two-game lead over Texas A&M in the SEC West when the Aggies fell for the second straight day against Ole Miss. Mississippi State (33-17, 15-11) remained in contention for the division title, behind Arkansas by three games.
