Sidney Moncrief, a Little Rock native, excelled at Arkansas, where he averaged 16.9 points, 8.3 points, and 2.0 assists per game. His best season saw him average 22.0 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. Moncrief was part of the Arkansas “Triplets” with Marvin Delph and Ron Brewer, along with head coach Eddie Sutton and assistant coach Gene Keady, who resurrected the program.
