LAKE FOREST, Illinois — Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears rookie quarterback, was beginning to develop chemistry with his top three wide receivers in a session he organised in Los Angeles only days before the NFL draft in April.
Knowing that he would soon be selected with the first overall pick by the Bears (which general manager Ryan Poles confirmed after Williams’ top-30 visit), the former USC quarterback invited veterans DJ Moore and Keenan Allen to a throwing session near his home and training facility in Southern California.
