Simone Biles appeared to have injured her calf during the qualification round, but she will still compete in all four events of the Paris Olympics team finals on Tuesday night.

Biles seemed to hurt her calf during warm-ups, as she staggered off the ground. Despite her injuries, she was able to compete in the last three events of the round and earn points. Before she competed in the uneven bars, floor, and vault, her left foot was taped up by trainers.

U.S. coach Cecile Landi gave some good news about Biles’ injury. She said the injury was minor and that there were no plans to sideline her for the Olympics.

“I can’t express it,” Landi said. “I’m really proud of her and what she’s been through and what she’s showing the world what she’s capable of doing.”

Biles will go last for the U.S. in vault, floor exercise and balance beam. She will be second on the uneven bars.

Danan Chiles, who placed fourth in the qualifying round of the all-around behind Biles, Rebeca Andrade of Brazil, and Suni Lee, will also participate in all four events.

One of the most decorated American Olympians in history is Biles. Because she missed several important events at the Tokyo Olympics, her experience with the twisties ignited a bigger conversation about mental health.

The gymnastics team final is Tuesday and the individual all-around is Thursday.
