AC Milan star, Rafael Leao has backed his teammate, Samuel Chukwueze to replicate his impressive pre-season form when the new campaign starts.
Chukwueze has been one of the star performers for the Rooseneri in their pre-season games.
The Nigerian grabbed two assists in Milan’s 3-2 victory over Manchester City.
The winger also scored the solitary goal in the club’s 1-0 victory over Real Madrid on Thursday.
Leao believed Chukwueze will have a good season if he maintains his impressive form.
“When you don’t play a lot it becomes difficult to show what you can do but, from what I’ve seen, Chuk (Chukwueze) has more confidence, he wants to have the ball and make a difference.
That’s what I was waiting for. If he continues like this, he’ll have a great season,” Leao told SOS Fanta.
