There are 32 former, current, and incoming Texas Longhorns representing 15 different countries in nine various sports at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games this summer.

While USC has 54 athletes at the Games, followed by Stanford and Cal with 41 each, the Longhorns are making a name for themselves in Paris.

Five days into the two-week Olympics, Texas has already won six total medals and is currently one medal ahead of Notre Dame for the second-most by a collegiate program.

In the lead is Stanford with nine total medals: one gold, four silvers, and three bronzes.

So far, the Horns have three silver medals and two bronzes to their name.

In the men’s 4×200-meter freestyle relay, Team USA won silver and three of the athletes were Texas Longhorns (Drew Kibler, Luke Hobson, and Carson Foster).

Earlier in the week, Foster won bronze in the 400-meter IM medley. Hobson also won bronze in the 200-meter freestyle.

On Wednesday evening, Caspar Corbeau finished third in the men’s 200-meter breaststroke for the third bronze and sixth overall medal by a Longhorn.

Most of the Longhorns in Paris still have yet to compete including track and field stars Tara Davis-Woodhall, Ryan Crouser, Julien Alfred, and Leo Neugebauer.

Scottie Scheffler, Texas golfing phenom, starts his job representing Team USA on Thursday morning in France.

Not to mention, Longhorn legend Kevin Durant and Team USA men’s basketball are still on their journey toward yet another gold medal.

Over all time, Longhorns have won 138 total Olympic Medals.
