Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has insisted that Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has refused to reduce his salary amid interest from Chelsea.
Romano disclosed this in a tweet on his X account on Monday evening.
According to him, Chelsea are still exploring options with Napoli to sign Osimhen this summer.
He added that Napoli also want Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku, as Osimhen is expected to leave the Serie A club.
“No changes so far on Victor Osimhen deal for Chelsea,” Romano tweeted.
“Chelsea explore talks with Napoli; Napoli want Lukaku; Osimhen will NOT reduce his salary + he’s not open to straight loan/open buy option right now.
“He’s still expected to leave Napoli, but no concrete changes yet.”
