Arsenal predicted lineup, starting 11, team news vs. Lyon
Arteta is still easing some of his key names into action following a busy summer of Euro 2024 and Copa America action with their national teams.
Summer signing Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber were not risked by Arteta against Leverkusen with the Spaniard indicating both are expected to be fit for the Premier League start.
Calafiori is still getting up to speed following his move from Bologna and Dutch international Timber is being treated cautiously following a long-term injury absence.
Arteta has confirmed England duo Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice “have to be ready” for the season start, despite their extended breaks, and the pair featured off the bench against Leverkusen.
With a trip to Wolves on the horizon, Arteta could look to test out his planned starting XI for that game against Lyon, with Saka and Rice starting.
Given that Bukayo Saka is expected to start in the preseason finale, how will Arsenal line up against Lyon?
