Torino have officially announced the signing of a new goalkeeper, Antonio Donnarumma, who will replace Mihai Popa, recently loaned to Cluj. Donnarumma, a familiar face in Serie A, joins the club as a second or third-choice goalkeeper.

Antonio Donnarumma, the older brother of Gianluigi Donnarumma, previously played for AC Milan alongside his sibling. Born in 1990, he became a free agent after his last season with Padova and has now signed a two-year contract with President Cairo’s club.

In their official statement, Torino expressed delight in welcoming Antonio Donnarumma, who has signed a contract until June 30, 2026. Born in Castellammare di Stabia on July 7, 1990, Donnarumma developed his skills in the youth academies of Juve Stabia and Milan, winning the Coppa Italia Primavera with the latter in 2010.

His professional debut came the following year while on loan to Piacenza in Serie B. Donnarumma made his Serie A debut on May 19, 2013, playing for Genoa against Bologna. Throughout his career, he has played for various clubs including Gubbio, Bari, Asteras Tripoli, Milan (where he also made an appearance in the Europa League), and most recently, Padova.

During his three seasons with Padova in Serie C, Donnarumma made 120 official appearances, showcasing his experience and reliability. Torino Football Club warmly welcomes Antonio Donnarumma, wishing him good luck and ending with their motto, “Sempre Forza Toro!”
