Sky journalist Peppe Di Stefano believes that the AC Milan management deserve credit for the way they handled the Youssouf Fofana negotiations and for getting a man who will make a big difference
It was a real tug of war between Milan and Monaco which seemed to drag on for the best part of three months, yet a couple of days ago reports emerged stating that the two clubs were moving closer together in terms of offer and demand.
Fabrizio Romano among other sources is reporting that Fofana to the Rossoneri is a done deal in what will be a €25m package with add-ons included. The France international will sign a four year contract plus the option for further season, and will travel to Italy for his medical soon.
Di Stefano spoke live on Sky from outside Casa Milan this morning on the eve of the Torino game and he commented on the Fofana operation, which reached a positive conclusion after weeks of negotiations.
“He will arrive tonight, on Saturday morning he will undergo his medical and in the evening he will be at San Siro to greet his new fans. The most sought-after player of this Rossoneri summer together with Emerson Royal,” he said (via Radio Rossonera).
“Milan must be given credit for having had targets, for having pursued them and secured them throughout the summer. The midfield objective was Youssouf Fofana and in the end the Frenchman arrived.
