Federico Chiesa’s future has been among the most discussed topics this summer, with Milan now exploring the possibility of signing the Juventus outcast. Thiago Motta has sidelined the Italy international from the team in a last-ditch attempt to force his exit toward the end of the transfer window.

According to Sky Sport Italia via MilanNews, Milan and Juventus haven’t spoken about Chiesa. However, Paulo Fonseca’s men are keeping a keen eye on the winger’s situation in Turin. Motta has excluded the 26-year-old from training with the first team after previously ruling him out of his project for the upcoming season.

Therefore, Chiesa remains stuck between a rock and a hard place. His contract at Juventus runs out next summer, yet his services are no longer in high demand at the Allianz Stadium. Foreign suitors have seemingly walked away, leaving Milan as the only viable solution for the former Fiorentina forward, alongside Roma.

Daniele De Rossi’s charges have withdrawn from the race following the acquisition of Matias Soule. However, with Paulo Dybala set to move abroad, Roma could reignite their interest. As for Milan, they remain firmly in the market for a new attacker despite acquiring Alvaro Morata’s signature from Atletico Madrid.

Although Chiesa is not a natural striker, he performed well in this role last season under Massimiliano Allegri. That could lead Milan to pursue a deal for the Italian star late in the summer, knowing they could lure him to the Stadio San Siro on favorable terms.
