AC Milan’s transfer market is still ongoing and might provide Paulo Fonseca with one more addition in midfield.
The player highlighted in red at the club’s headquarters is definitely Silvano Vos right now. He is a 19-year-old defensive midfielder currently plying his trade for Ajax.
According to what is told by Tuttosport in this morning’s print edition, the player is getting very close to donning the Rossoneri shirt soon.
An agreement between the player and the AC Milan club management is said to have been reached recently, with only the agreement with Ajax still pending. The Dutch outfit, however, do not seem to have any intention of opposing the player’s departure, as he was also excluded today from Francesco Farioli’s squad for the UEFA Europa League qualifier against Jagiellonia.
A different situation applies to Manu Koné, whose situation remains temporarily stalled due to Ismael Bennacer. As long as the Algerian does not leave, most likely heading to Saudi Arabia, the French player’s desire to leave Germany to play for Milan will be difficult to fulfill.
This situation could even suggest that after acquiring Vos, Milan may close their incoming transfers unless there are significant departures in midfield, with Tommaso Pobega and Yacine Adli currently appearing to be the two most likely to be sacrificed.
The first is being pursued by Vincenzo Italiano’s Bologna, but after the Alexis Saelemaekers deal, Milan would demand, if not insist on, more financial guarantees. The second, like Bennacer, is being courted by several Saudi clubs, but the player does not seem to favor this option for the continuation of his career.
