JUST IN: Ibrahimovic could bring another striker for Fonseca…..see more

AC Milan will make a change up front for today’s game against Parma with Paulo Fonseca confirming that Noah Okafor will start, while the management could yet give him another striker to work with.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) recall the words of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Youssouf Fofana’s press conference in which the Senior Advisor was quite clear about the third striker issue, saying that Milan are banking a lot on young talents.

It was a clear reference to Francesco Camarda, but he is the starter for Milan Futuro and is likely to play virtually all of his minutes for them this season, because the club do not want to rush him and want his first team launch to come at the perfect moment.

The paper adds that the Milan directors have never actually closed the door to the possibility of giving Fonseca another striker but ‘an opportunity is needed’, which could be Tammy Abraham or another option. An exit would probably be needed, with Luka Jovic the main suspect to leave.

Speaking yesterday during an update for Sky, Peppe Di Stefano also suggested that the incoming mercato might not be done for Milan and that another centre-forward might yet arrive.

“There is the possibility that Milan could take a new striker to further strengthen the attacking department. It is not a necessity, but an opportunity and in my opinion something can happen in 7 days. So keep an eye on Milan,” he said.
