Zlatan Ibrahimovic, in his role as a Milan executive, delivered a motivational speech to the team following their unexpected defeat to Parma. The Swedish legend addressed the squad in the locker room, emphasizing the need to rediscover their motivation and competitive spirit.

La Gazzetta dello sport report how while keeping a measured tone, Ibrahimovic made it clear that the performance against Parma was unacceptable. He stressed that the team has the quality and is now at full strength, so there should be no excuses for lack of motivation. Ibrahimovic believes the group has grown in personality and that any further transfers would only be minor additions.

The main focus of Ibrahimovic’s talk was on the team’s mentality. He emphasized that playing for Milan should be a source of pride and that the wrong attitude is unacceptable. Without raising his voice, Ibrahimovic was direct in expressing his disappointment with the team’s spirit and willingness to fight together on the pitch.

While not singling out individuals, Ibrahimovic’s message seemed particularly aimed at star players Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez. Both underperformed against Parma and are expected to lead by example. Ibrahimovic reminded the squad that talent alone is not enough – it must be coupled with hard work and dedication.
