AC Milan’s stadium project in San Donato is coming along nicely and new estimates of the costs have now been released. In total, as a report states, the Rossoneri are expected to invest €1.28bn into the project.
The stadium has been at the top of the agenda ever since Gerry Cardinale and RedBird bought the club from Elliott Management. Great progress has been made in San Donato, more specifically the San Francesco area, as the project is now being discussed in a Program Agreement.
In any case, as highlighted by Calcio e Finanza, Milan have raised the cost estimate from the initial €948m to €1.28bn. A large part of that is made up of the Rossoneri adding €240m for ‘additional costs’, which includes purchasing more area than initially intended.
