REPORT: Nothing has changed at Milan, Leao must become….see more

In his latest interview with Il Corriere della Sera, Fabio Capello criticised Milan and their star Rafael Leao: ‘He must become a man after childish whims.’

Milan have earned just two points in the opening three Serie A games of the season and prepare to host Venezia in Serie A after the international break in September.

After the home game against Eusebio Di Francesco’s side, the Rossoneri will host Liverpool in the opening Champions League game of the season and then meet city rivals Inter in a Serie A derby.

“I hope I am wrong, but it will be hard because Milan have been struggling too much,” said Capello.

“Nothing has changed from last season in terms of organisation. Players will have to react. After the silly thing made by Leao and Theo, they must prove to be a solid group because balance is the most important thing.”

Leao caused outrage in the most recent Serie A match against Lazio as he and Theo Hernandez snubbed a cooling break after being introduced from the bench in the second half.

The Portuguese was still vital to the Rossoneri as he scored the equaliser at the Stadio Olimpico.

“All that happens at Milan seems Leao’s fault, but he does everything to make this situation continue,” noted Capello.

“But he is the only one who can create danger: it is time that he became a man after the childish whims.”

During the same interview, Capello said that Manchester City star Rodri should win the Ballon d’Or while Federico Chiesa will settle in well at Liverpool and in the Premier League thanks to his pace.
