After a European ban, Juventus issues a statement

Juventus has stated that they do not intend to challenge UEFA's decision to exempt the team from participating in European competitions for the 2023–2024 season.

Following an examination by the CFCB over the club’s violation of UEFA’s rules, it was determined that Juventus will miss the upcoming season of the Europa Conference League and be fined €10 million (£8.5 million).

Although Juventus does not agree with the investigation’s findings, the club will not challenge the ruling, according to a statement issued by the organisation itself in response to the news:

“We deplore the UEFA Club Financial Control Body’s choice. We disagree with the interpretation of our defence that has been offered, and we are still adamant that our actions and claims are true.

But we’ve chosen not to challenge this ruling. This choice is consistent with the one made in May of last year in relation to the disagreements with the FIGC. As in that instance, we desire to end the time of ambiguity and provide our internal and external stakeholders with full visibility and confidence regarding the club’s participation in upcoming international events.

“Filing an appeal would enhance the uncertainty with respect to the outcome, maybe to additional levels of judging, and timing “Despite this difficult choice, we can now approach the next campaign by putting our attention on the pitch rather than the courts.

We will do all in our power to give our fans the most joy possible in these competitions as we now concentrate on the Championship and the Italian Cup.
