Possible lineup changes ahead of tomorrow night’s derby at San Siro. Peppe Di Stefano, live on Sky Sport Italia reports the latest updates on the starting eleven tested by Fonseca during training on the eve of the match against Simone Inzaghi’s Inter.
Compared to the Champions League game against Liverpool, there could be three changes, but the most notable update is regarding the formation: a switch from the usual 4-2-3-1 to a 4-4-2 (or 4-4-1-1). This is because Tammy Abraham will play alongside or in front of Morata. Calabria is out due to a muscle issue. Strahinja Pavlovic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are out of the starting lineup too.
The possible changes are Emerson, Gabbia, and of course, Abraham. Nothing is official yet, but the latest tests suggest this new setup. Fonseca wants ball-playing players on the field: he isn’t backing down and continues to stick to his ideas.
Possible AC Milan lineup (4-4-2):
Maignan; Emerson, Gabbia, Tomori, Theo; Pulisic, Fofana, Reijnders, Leao; Morata, Abraham
