Rumour: Inter loanee being targeted by AC Milan….the situation

AC Milan have in their disposal Alvaro Morata, Tammy Abraham, Noah Okafor, Luka Jovic and even the Serie C sensation Francesco Camarda. All of these players could occupy the centre-forward position. But, it seems that a move for another attacker in the future is not completely ruled out.

According to ‘MilanLive’ in fact, Milan is closely monitoring the progress of Sebastiano Esposito, born in 2002, a forward whose registration rights belong to the other team in Milan.

After spending recent years on loan at SPAL, Venezia, Basel (Switzerland), Anderlecht (Belgium), Bari, and Sampdoria, the young player—who can play as a central or second striker, or as a left-winger, has now joined Empoli this year.

Empoli has acquired him on loan with an option to buy for 5 million euros. If he remains with them on a permanent basis. Milan could then try to swoop in and reach an agreement with Fabrizio Corsi’s side, leveraging the fact that Empoli currently holds, under the same terms, the rights to Lorenzo Colombo’s card (loan with an option to buy for 7 million euros and a buy-back clause in Milan’s favour).

However, if Esposito returns to Inter, he would likely not remain there, as he would have only one year left on his contract (expiring June 30, 2026) and little interest in renewing. Milan could make an attempt to sign him for a low price from their rivals.

For the Rossoneri’s management, the 22-year-old Italian, is a talent to bet on, despite his recent struggles to establish himself at the highest level.

Inter’s loanee, has so far played a total of 373 minutes with Empoli between Serie A and Coppa Italia. The right-footed player who stands at 183 centimetres tall managed to score two goals and has registered two assists as well.
