HEARTFELT: Morata shaved his head to show support with children with….see more

Alvaro Morata rocked up to the game between AC Milan and Lecce with a new look, having decided to shave his head. According to a report, the striker did so to show support for children suffering from cancer.

Morata opened the scoring for Milan with a fantastic header, seemingly helped by his new haircut, and worked incredibly hard during his time on the pitch. He was named the MOTM by Gazzetta dello Sport and also received a high score from us.

The new haircut was the big talking point, though, and a report from Corriere della Sera states that Morata did it to show support for children with cancer. He has always been very close to the matter, often visiting children’s hospitals to give strength to those suffering, and yesterday was just another sign of his dedication.

Having kids of his own, all of which were present during yesterday’s game, one can understand that the matter is close to his heart.

Morata is clearly a very good footballer, but he’s an even better man and leader. Milan are lucky to have him and will be hoping that his contributions can lead them to the second star, having finally overcome the struggles in the derby against Inter.
