SAD NEWS: Inter Milan Coach Aims To “Stop The Bleeding”….see more

Simone Inzaghi will aim to tighten up Inter Milan’s defense, as cracks were apparent despite their 3-2 victory over Udinese.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews.

Inter got the win they wanted at the Bluenergy Stadium yesterday evening.

The Nerazzurri took three points and got back on track after their defeat in the derby against AC Milan.

However, it was not a perfect match from Inter by any means.

In attack, the Nerazzurri were up to par. They scored three goals, and even had good chances for a couple more.

But the issue is that Inter’s attack needed to be this potent in order to take three points.

Inter conceded two goals for the second match in a row.

The Nerazzurri had allowed city rivals Milan to score twice last weekend due to their failure to prevent dangerous counterattacks above all else.

If there was a positive yesterday against Udinese, it is that Inter largely contained the Friulani’s formidable counterattack.

However, the problem for Inter came in the form of some defensive lapses.

That had already been evident since the very start of the season, when Inter had to settle for a point in their opener against Genoa due to a couple preventable goals.

And it was more of the same yesterday.

Defender Yann Bisseck, who’d given away a stoppage time penalty against Genoa unnecessarily, was culpable for losing Udinese defender Christian Kabasele for Udinese’s first goal yesterday.

Then, all of Hakan Calhanoglu, Stefan de Vrij, and Hakan Calhanoglu looked hapless in their efforts to stop Friulani striker Lorenzo Lucca for his team’s second goal.

These will be a worry for Inter coach Inzaghi.

In spite of getting the result they needed in the end, the Nerazzurri coach has plenty to think about. And plenty of work to do.
