REPORT: Penalization Unlikely for Inter and Milan amid….see more

The investigation into the illegal activity of the Curvas and their relationship with Inter and Milan is ways away from having ramifications within the sports justice. However, a major penalty is unlikely because of a recent precedent, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

Federal prosecutor Giuseppe Chinè will act quickly, but he has yet to receive the documents from the DA’s office. The two clubs might have violated article 25 of the bylaws. It prohibits teams from contributing, with financial support or in other ways, to the constitution and conservation of organized or non-organized supporter groups.

Infractions lead to a fine from €10k to €50k. Milan and Inter are in danger of having breached clause 10.

Juventus faced a trial for something similar in 2017. The prosecutor asked for a 30-month suspension for Andrea Agnelli, two matches behind closed doors, plus one more for just the Curva. In the end, the sentence was a €600k fine for the club, a €100k one for the chairman, with no ban, and one game without opening the sector in question.

According to La Repubblica, Milan and Inter will have to apply a few measures to avoid a receivership starting with a tighter control over ticket sales and the access to the stadium and a modification to the way they relate to the fan groups. The dialogue between the parties is ongoing.
