Sad News: Abraham will ‘most likely’ miss… see more

AC Milan will be up against Club Brugge on Tuesday and following yesterday’s events, eyes are on Tammy Abraham and Matteo Gabbia. According to a report, it appears the latter might make it back in time.

Gabbia was left out of the squad for Milan-Udinese due to a minor discomfort, with the Rossoneri opting not to risk him. Abraham, meanwhile, came off the bench and managed to get himself injured almost immediately, subbed off five minutes later.

According to Sky Italia, as cited by Francesco Nasato, Abraham will ‘most likely’ not recover in time for the game against Club Brugge. Gabbia will carry out new tests on the pitch tomorrow, after which a decision will be made.

The Italian centre-back underwent an MRI that came back negative, showing no injuries, but he still feels some discomfort in his calf. Having been an important player in the last few weeks, Milan are hoping that he will make it back.

Malick Thiaw and Strahinja Pavlovic partnered up at the back against Udinese and did well, it must be said, but the feeling is that they need to show more to become starters. Perhaps Fikayo Tomori is a bit worried, though, given his recent struggles at the back.
