A grand ceremony to honour the inductees will take place at the iconic San Siro stadium on December 15, ahead of AC Milan’s match against Genoa. This event will be the centrepiece of the club’s 125th-anniversary celebrations. Each of the legends will be presented with a custom-designed trophy created by Tiffany & Co., a symbol of their timeless contributions to AC Milan.

Van Basten joined AC Milan in 1987, arriving alongside fellow Dutch superstar Ruud Gullit. Before his move, Van Basten had already established himself as a prodigious talent, scoring 152 goals in 172 matches for Ajax. His impact at AC Milan was immediate, playing a crucial role in securing the Serie A title during his debut season in 1987–88. Among his honours are three Serie A titles, two European Cups, two UEFA Super Cups, and two Intercontinental Cups. Individually, Van Basten’s brilliance was recognised with three Ballon d’Or awards, two Serie A Golden Boots, and the Best FIFA Men’s Player award.

Meanwhile, Shevchenko, arriving in 1999 after a successful stint with Dynamo Kyiv, where he claimed five league titles, quickly became a talismanic figure for AC Milan. Over his eight seasons at the club, spanning two separate stints, the Ukrainian scored 175 goals in 322 appearances. Among his most iconic moments was the decisive penalty in the 2003 UEFA Champions League final against Juventus, a performance that underscored his composure under pressure. Shevchenko’s trophy cabinet with AC Milan includes one Champions League title, one Serie A title, one Coppa Italia, one Italian Super Cup, and a UEFA Super Cup.

Inzaghi joined AC Milan at the height of his career and became one of the club’s most beloved players. Nicknamed “Superpippo,” Inzaghi was known for his instinctive goal-scoring and ability to perform in the biggest moments. One of his most unforgettable performances came in the 2007 Champions League final against Liverpool, where he scored both goals in AC Milan’s 2-1 victory. Over the course of his career with the Rossoneri, Inzaghi netted 126 goals in 300 matches, earning two Champions League titles, two Serie A titles, one Club World Cup, two UEFA Super Cups, one Coppa Italia, and one Italian Super Cup.

As the Rossoneri prepare to commemorate their 125th anniversary, the ceremony on December 15 promises to be a fitting tribute to these iconic players. The club announced that further positions will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in the future.
