Chelsea have been warned that Dusan Vlahovic isn’t any better than Romelu Lukaku. The Juventus ace has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge recently as Mauricio Pochettino looks to further bolster his attack despite having already signed Nicolas Jackson this summer.
Vlahovic, who sees his contract at the Allianz Stadium expire in 2026, featured 27 times for the Old Lady in the Serie A last season, finding the net ten times. Despite his misfortune in front of goal, the Serbia international has reportedly courted the interest of the Blues.
“He’s not got a great burst of pace. He’s certainly not as quick as Lukaku. He’s okay with his back to goal. The only area where he’s better than Lukaku is when balls come into the box in the air. I think Juventus paid well over the odds for him. I think if he went to Chelsea I’m not sure how well he would do there.”
Earlier this summer, Pochettino revealed that he’s happy with how Jackson and Christopher Nkunku have settled in, but insisted that he’s ‘open’ to another addition to his frontline. The Chelsea boss said: “We are working hard to try to create this dynamic that will become natural and to share time together.
