Manchester United are not expected to formally announce the £72million signing of Rasmus Hojlund until the weekend as the club continues to put the finishing touches on his switch to Old Trafford. The 20-year-old Atalanta striker completed his medical checks on Wednesday but there are still a few things to complete before the deal is official in regards to his contract and VISA.

Nonetheless, United supporters can be expected to welcome Hojlund to Old Trafford on Saturday when Erik ten Hag’s side host Lens in their penultimate pre-season friendly before the new Premier League season.
There is still a high likelihood that more new faces could follow before the September 1 transfer deadline, while Ten Hag is also looking to clear some of the deadwood within his squad.
We can also expect movement at Chelsea following the news that Brighton have received a shock mystery bid for Moises Caicedo. We’ll have more on that below within the transfer blog.
