A Turkish football analyst, Ugur Karakullukcu, suggests that the signing of Alvaro Morata spells the end of Galataray’s pursuit of Victor Osimhen.
As Pulse Sports reported, the Cim-Bom have completed a deal for Morata from AC Milan. He more or less comes in as a replacement for the injured Icardi; however, there is also a Victor Osimhen angle.
According to Karakullukcu, Morata’s arrival means Galatasaray will quit their Osimhen pursuit, focusing on strengthening other areas of the pitch.
“I think Galatasaray will close the Osimhen transfer book with the Morata transfer,” he said, per GsGazette. “He will leave at the end of the season. Wait, wait, wait, get another centre forward for this team.
“This is not a matter of Morata being good or bad. It’s a situation related to squad engineering. You don’t have a full-back, you don’t have an alternative midfield.”
