Gns: Saluti a Gimenez e Felix…see more

AC Milan were the most active team in all of Europe on Deadline Day, completing a barely believable SEVEN transfers on the final day of the January window.

The Rossoneri signed four players in the final hours of Monday, while they offloaded three.

The biggest signing on Deadline Day and arguably the biggest incoming transfer of all of Serie A in January saw Santiago Gimenez officially complete his move from Feyenoord.

Milan paid €32 million to sign the prolific Mexican striker from the Eredivisie.

The Italian giants also signed a further two attackers in addition to Gimenez.

Joao Felix was brought in on loan until the end of the season with no option to buy from Chelsea. Milan will pay a loan fee in the region of €2m and cover his wages.

Milan also signed winger Riccardo Sottil on loan from Fiorentina with an option to buy for €10m.

The San Siro side finally signed Warren Bondo, a central midfielder from Monza for €10m. Bondo was also wanted by a number of other Italian clubs.

In terms of outgoings on Deadline Day. Ismael Bennacer was sent to Marseille on loan to make way for Bondo.

Milan also loaned midfield talent Kevin Zeroli to Monza, with the youngster replacing Bondo.

Noah Okafor was loaned out to Napoli where he was the replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who the club sold to PSG for €75m earlier in the summer.

Milan had also been in talks with Fulham to sell Samuel Chukwueze but a deal could not be done in time before the window closed.

These deals completed an insane end to the transfer window for Milan, who at the weekend also offloaded Alvaro Morata to Galatasaray and captain Davide Calabria to Bologna.

It has been quite the revolution for Milan.

The Rossoneri have endured a very difficult season and are currently struggling to qualify for next season’s Champions League as they languish in eighth position in Serie A.

Milan sacked their manager Paulo Fonseca at the end of December, replacing him with Sergio Conceicao.

The hope is that all this January transfer business will inspire the Rossoneri to rescue their season in the final months of this season.
