The postponed Serie A match between Bologna and Milan will be played at a slightly later date as a result of the Rossoneri and their exit from the Champions League at the hands of Feyenoord on Tuesday night.

The Bologna-Milan match had originally been scheduled to take place on October 26, but was postponed at the last minute due to adverse weather conditions in the Emilia-Romagna region. There had been severe flooding in and around the city in the build-up to the game.

Then, on Tuesday night, a 10-man Milan were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Feyenoord, which meant a 2-1 loss on aggregate and ultimately elimination from this season’s Champions League.

As the Rossoneri are now out of Europe, they only have Serie A and Coppa Italia commitments remaining this season, which opens up a bit more space in the calendar for the postponed Bologna match.

Originally scheduled for October 26 and then put back to February 26, Bologna-Milan will now be played on Thursday, February 27 and is currently scheduled to kick off at 19.45 GMT.

After that match is complete, the division should be equal again in terms of matches played by every team in the league.
