JUST IN: Saelemaekers and Hummels to return to Roma’s line-up…see more

The upcoming Serie A fixture with Monza could see Claudio Ranieri make several changes to Roma’s line-up.

Roma are preparing for Monday’s match against Monza without Artem Dovbyk.

The Ukrainian striker, struggling with an adductor problem, has only undergone therapy and will undergo further checks today to rule out more serious problems.

However, the Giallorossi medical staff does not want to risk a relapse and seems inclined to give him a whole week of rest.

His return to the field could take place directly against Como, and then be 100% fit for the double Europa League match against Athletic Bilbao.

Claudio Ranieri is ready to change something about the team that beat Porto.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Evan N’Dicka, Roma’s most used player this season, could take a breather, leaving room for Mats Hummels.

The German defender has only played 79 minutes in the last six games between the league and the cup, and this could be the right opportunity to see him back in the starting lineup.

Paredes, Angeliño, Dybala and Pellegrini could also start from the bench to take a breather after the European efforts.

In midfield, there will be room for Cristante and Koné, while on the left flank Salah-Eddine could be confirmed, not on the UEFA list but useful in the rotations for Serie A.

Further up the pitch, Gourna-Douath will take Pellegrini’s place, flanked by Soulé and Dybala. Up front, with Dovbyk absent, it will be up to Eldor Shomurodov to lead the attack, strong from the growth shown in recent weeks.
