We are now just days away from the 2023/24 Premier League season getting underway, with Chelsea welcoming Liverpool to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
Both clubs failed to get anywhere near their sky-high standards last term and will be looking to make the perfect start in west London. Chelsea, now managed by Mauricio Pochettino, have endured yet another summer of wholesale changes, with over ten players leaving the club on permanent deals and multiple incomings as well.
So it looks set to be another period of transition for Chelsea, but they will be hoping it will be the last one at the club for some time now, with Pochettino and his backroom staff having big plans at Stamford Bridge. It all starts this summer and with just a few weeks left of the transfer window, time is running out for the club to do their final bits of business.

Caicedo breakthrough made
As reported on Monday afternoon, there is an expectancy that Chelsea will launch a fourth official offer to Brighton this week for Moises Caicedo. Chelsea have already had three bids turned down by the Seagulls – with the latest believed to be worth £80million altogether – for the Ecuador international.
Brighton are holding out for £100m for their star midfielder after seeing Declan Rice going for just over that to Arsenal earlier in the summer transfer window. The Seagulls expect Caicedo to be involved on Saturday afternoon as they welcome newly-promoted Luton Town to the Amex Stadium.
