REPORT: Green Bay Packers Cracking Down…see more

It’s no secret the Green Bay Packers have a rich history and tradition among their fans. Green Bay has arguably the most impactful home-field advantage, playing at the storied Lambeau Field since 1957. Lambeau Field, one of the country’s most well-known stadiums, has led to a lengthy list of fans waiting to get their hands on season tickets. Those waiting in line received good news on Friday, with the franchise opting to pull season tickets from resellers

The Green Bay Packers are not fond of resellers. With ticket prices continuing to rise and just eight home games per year, many Green Bay fans have opted to sell their season tickets for profit. However, the Packers organization is not a fan of the practice and has canceled tickets for those season ticket resellers. Per ProFootballTalk, “The reclaimed season-ticket rights will be offered to fans on the team’s lengthy waiting list.”

The Packers will likely cancel season tickets for those that sell all but one or two home games across multiple seasons. From 2013 to 2023, the Packers saw a 52% increase in ticket price per Visual Capitalist. Last year, the Packers averaged 78,003 attendance at home games, with Lambeau Field having a capacity of 81,441.

With the Packers cracking down on ticket resellers, Lambeau Field will likely avoid becoming a destination for opposing fans. Green Bay continues to have one of the most impactful home-field advantages in the NFL. Since 2010, the Packers have not had a losing record at home. During that span, the NFC North club had two instances of going 22-2 at Lambeau Field.
