Conceicao insatisfecho con el peso y el sueño de algunos players de Milan

A report this morning has made the rather surprising claim that Sergio Conceicao is unhappy with how some of the AC Milan squad are looking after themselves.

As La Repubblica (via MilanPress) reports this morning, it is well known that Conceicao is strict when it comes to the standards that he expects from his players, especially in terms of commitment and effort levels.

The Portuguese coach does not allow mistakes when it comes to the professionalism of his players and for this reason at Milan for the last two months everything has been monitored daily at Milanello, with some negative results.

Among the factors taken into consideration by the coach and his staff are the weight of players and quality of sleep they are getting, because of the impact this has on quality of training and overall health.

The papers states that there is a problem in the squad because some players exceed 90kg (Mike Maignan’s name is mentioned specifically) and others often have poor sleep parameters.

The former Porto man expected to have a group with a higher level of professionalism and for this reason from now on he intends to give more space to young and hungry players, like Francesco Camarda and Filippo Terracciano.
