Inter Milan are reportedly contemplating handing high-performing manager Simone Inzaghi a new contract.
According to Corriere dello Sport via L’Interista, Inzaghi’s success warrants an immediate renewal.
Simone Inzaghi has gone from strength to strength in Inter’s dugout since replacing Antonio Conte in 2021.
Indeed, he has won six major domestic trophies at the San Siro, including last season’s landmark 20th Scudetto.
Furthermore, he guided Inter into the 2023 Champions League final, where he narrowly lost to Manchester City.
Inzaghi’s current deal at Inter expires in 2026.
However, Beppe Marotta has already hinted at the possibility of renewing the 48-year-old’s contract.
With Inter in the running for a ‘treble,’ Inzaghi’ position in the dugout looks cemented.
It’s also worth noting that the ex-Lazio boss showed loyalty to Inter by turning down Manchester United’s approach last summer.
Meanwhile, Inter will probably back Inzaghi with much-needed summer reinforcements.
Como prodigy Nico Paz remains a dream signing.
Despite Real Madrid’s buyback option, Inter will not relinquish hopes of luring the 20-year-old to the San Siro.
