Important details in Christian Pulisic’s new AC Milan contract have been revealed, with the USMNT star “almost” ready to put pen to paper.
Fresh terms for the United States international have been mooted for some time. That is because ‘Captain America’ has become a talismanic presence at San Siro and his value to the cause is not lost on those in charge of the Rossoneri’s finances.
They are ready to reward Pulisic’s standing with an improved deal, allowing him to rub shoulders with the biggest earners in Milan. The need to get that process completed as quickly as possible was further highlighted in the club’s latest fixture – as Pulisic bagged a brace to seal a 3-2 victory over Lecce.
He is now up to 14 goals for the season, with Gazzetta dello Sport paying homage to a man who “speaks little, scores a lot”. The same publication claims that Pulisic is set to sign a contract through to 2028 that includes the option for a further 12-month extension.
That would only add a year to his current deal, but would help to bring any transfer talk to a close – with the 26-year-old former Chelsea star having seen a return to the Premier League rumoured ahead of the summer window.
