Chelsea has emerged as a possible destination for AC Milan star Rafael Leao this summer according to reports in Italy.
After a disappointing January window the Blues are expected to be busy this summer, with a number of key areas in the squad needing to be addressed.
Chelsea need a striker, left winger, and centre back ,whilst there’s a possibility they could look to add another midfielder.
With uncertainty surrounding the future of Mykhailo Mudryk following his positive doping test, Chelsea are in the market for a left winger.
The Blues were linked with Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho throughout January, whilst Jamie Gittens of Borussia Dortmund is said to be a target.
However, Italian outlet Calciomercato have reported Chelsea could be a possible destination for AC Milan star Leao.
The report adds Leao, who is said be valued at €75m, is also a target for Spanish giants Barcelona, whilst his agent Jorge Mendes has been working on an exit for months.
The 25-year-old is a key player for Milan and is under contract with the Serie A outfit until 2028, although it’s been previously reported the Italian’s might have to sell one of their star players if they don’t qualify for the Champions League.
Leao has obvious talent, but has struggled with consistency and the Portugal international has previously been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Portuguese has ten goals and nine assists in 39 appearances in all competitions this season, and Chelsea could certainly do a lot worse than signing him in the summer.
The Blues seemingly have a good relationship with their Italian counter parts and the clubs have done a lot of business in recent years.
Joao Felix is currently on loan at Milan, and expressed his desire to remain at the club beyond the end of the season, with it a possibility Chelsea could use him as part of a deal if they decide to move for Leao.
