Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini spoke to the media following the Giallorossi’s 1-0 win over Empoli.
The Italian midfielder was asked about Claudio Ranieri’s choices and rotations between competitions.
“Let’s say we carry a bit of waste with us. We’re a wasteful team on nights like tonight,” he told reporters in his post-match presser.
“Now, in addition to the performance in which I can have fun and play with the ball at my feet a lot, I would need to score. But beyond that, with serenity you can achieve anything.”
“We are available to do whatever the coach asks of us. Clearly we would all like to play, but we accept the coach’s choices, because we know he makes them for the good of Roma.”
“We must not forget that in recent years we have made great progress in Europe and we have struggled, also for a physical issues, in the league. But now we are calm, healthy, everyone would like to play but we are calm and believe in what we do.”
