Report: NBA Results, April 01 – Pacers’ Comeback Win, Lakers Survive, Celtics Sweep Road Trip and More

Here are the NBA Results for Apr. 01, 2025, where we had an eight-game slate. Playoff contention race is high and all top teams are pushing their limit to clinch the direct qualification.

From Indiana Pacers’ comeback from a 16-point deficit to Lakers’ crucial win in pursuit of the playoffs, let’s go through the key highlights from the NBA action last night.

Wizards 94-120 Heat

Miami Heat beat the Washington Wizards 120-94 for their fifth straight victory. Bam Adebayo scored 28 points and 12 rebounds, while Tyler Herro added 27. Pelle Larsson and Terry Rozier scored 15 apiece. The Heat won each of its last five games by at least 10 points. Jordan Poole led Washington with 35 points, including seven 3-pointers. Tristan Vukcevic added 14 off the bench.

Magic 87-96 Clippers

Kawhi Leonard and Norman Powell each scored 21 points, and the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Orlando Magic in a low-scoring thriller. Ivica Zubac added 18 points and 20 rebounds and both teams failed to reach the 100-point mark. James Harden chipped in 20 points and six steals. The Clippers won their 11th in 14 games and increased their chances of getting direct qualification for the playoffs. Paolo Banchero paced Orlando with 26 points. Franz Wagner added 21 points.

Grizzlies 103-117 Celtics

Boston Celtics squeezed past the Memphis Grizzlies and completed a sweep of their six-game road trip for the first time in franchise history. Jayson Tatum scored 25 points and 14 rebounds, and Al Horford added 26. It was Boston’s 32nd away from home win of the season and they tied a franchise record with most road wins. Kristaps Porzingis also chipped in 19 points in the Celtics’ ninth straight win. Ja Morant led the Grizzlies with 26 points. Santi Aldama added 21 points and Jaren Jackson Jr. had 20 points and 15 rebounds.

Thunder 145-117 Bulls

OKC Thunder rolled past the Chicago Bulls for their 10th straight victory. Isaiah Joe was the top performer of the Thunder with 31 points, including eight 3-pointers. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 27 points and 12 assists while Jalen Williams contributed 23. Oklahoma City had the biggest lead of 43 points in the game. Josh Giddey scored 15 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds for the Bulls. Jevon Carter chipped in 17 points and five 3-pointers off the bench.

Lakers 104-98 Rockets

Luka Doncic scored 20 points and nine assists, and the Los Angeles Lakers secured a crucial win over the Houston Rockets. Gabe Vincent chipped in 20 points on six 3-pointers and LeBron James added 16 points and eight rebounds. With this win, the Lakers have strengthened their position in fourth place. Dorian Finney-Smith contributed a season-high 20 points. Dillon Brooks missed a 3-point shot just before the buzzer and the Lakers survived a scar. Amen Thompson led Houston with 20 points and Brooks had 16.
