Former Roma man Diego Perotti did not sound discouraged about the Giallorossi’s chances to compete for Top 4 ahead of tonight’s Derby della Capitale.
“I don’t remember a match like this where the two teams were so close with the same goal,” said Perotti of this Derby in an interview with Sky Sport.
“When I was a player I couldn’t wait to play. Now that I see it from the outside I can say that the fans are even more anxious than the players.”
“I am convinced that Roma will do well today and that they will reach the goal of the season which is the Champions League,” he added.
“Rome is a city that makes you fall in love, me from day one. Since we arrived in 2016 we decided to stay. We didn’t know what would happen in my future but it was clear from the start that we wanted to stay here after my career.”
