Despite initially bringing in Sergio Conceicao to replace Paulo Fonseca, the club has struggled to find stability and currently sits in ninth place in Serie A, casting doubt over Champions League qualification. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri have already made up their minds—Conceicao will not continue as head coach beyond this season.
To lead a fresh project, Milan has set its sights on a familiar face: Massimiliano Allegri. The former Juventus boss, who previously managed the Rossoneri from 2010 to 2014 and led them to a Scudetto, is reportedly eager to return to San Siro.
This choice could also impact other managerial dominoes in Italy, notably closing the door on Roberto De Zerbi’s rumored move to Milan and potentially redirecting him elsewhere. The club hopes Allegri’s experience and tactical discipline will restore stability and bring Milan back to the top.
