Player ratings: Inter 0-3 Milan

Milan capped off a perfect season against city rivals Inter with their third win in five unbeaten meetings, sealing a place in the Coppa Italia final with an emphatic 3-0 victory.

In what had been a tightly contested first half, Luka Jovic broke the deadlock and set the Rossoneri on course. The Serbian striker completed his brace after the break, before Tijjani Reijnders added a late third to round off the triumph.

Football Italia were among the accredited media at San Siro – here are the player ratings.

Inter 0-3 Milan: Player ratings

Inter: Martinez 5.5; Bisseck 6.5, De Vrij 5, Bastoni 6; Darmian 5 (83′ Correa), Barella 5 (53′ Frattesi 5.5), Asllani 5 (53′ Calhanoglu 5.5), Mkhitaryan 5, Dimarco 5 (53′ Zalewski 5.5); Taremi 5.5 (53′ Arnautovic 5.5), Lautaro Martinez 5.5

Best Inter player: Bisseck 6.5 –Just four days after a costly mistake that led to Inter’s defeat against Bologna, the German defender looks like a different player. His full focus is evident from the start, winning duel after duel against Rafael Leão. But on his own, there’s little he can do to stop his side from crumbling under Milan’s pressure. Quite literally the last man standing in the second half, the scoreline could’ve been even harsher without his efforts.

Lowest Inter rating: Asllani and Darmian 5 – Once again, the difference is clear when the Albania international starts in place of Hakan Calhanoglu. He struggles to dictate his side’s tempo, with his hesitation on the ball slowing down the overall play and inviting pressure from the opposition. On the other hand, the Italian makes just one mistake—but a costly one—as his delay in tracking Jovic allows Milan to take the lead with their first real chance of the match. Beyond that, his limited offensive contribution seems to hold the Nerazzurri back whenever they have the opportunity to attack down that flank.

Inter coach: Simone Inzaghi 5 – His streak of six consecutive Derby della Madonnina wins has been swiftly erased by a five-match winless run against one of the most struggling Milan sides in recent memory—culminating in the most bitter way possible. While the fatigue the Nerazzurri carried into the game can partly explain their dip in form, their meek surrender to an opponent who didn’t even look particularly sharp in the first half, combined with a lack of reaction, raises serious concerns. With two more competitions still in play, Inter now face a critical stretch to avoid ending the season without silverware for the first time in years.

Milan: Maignan 6.5; Tomori 6.5, Gabbia 6.5 (59′ Thiaw 6), Pavlovic 7; Jimenez 6.5, Fofana 7, Reijnders 7 (88′ Joao Felix n/a), Theo Hernandez 6.5 (88′ Bartesaghi n/a); Pulisic 6 (78′ Loftus-Cheek 6), Jovic 7.5 (78′ Abraham 6), Leao 5.5

Best Milan player: Jovic 7.5 –Rarely involved in his side’s play before opening the scoring, it’s his lethal instinct that ultimately tilts the balance in Milan’s favour. After putting the Rossoneri ahead, he adds a crucial second goal and grows into a true point of reference with his link-up play—further proof that Milan already had two reliable strikers in-house, without needing to spend big during the winter transfer window.

Lowest Milan rating: Leao 5.5 – Incredibly, even on one of his team’s best nights of the season, he still feels like the missing piece in an otherwise perfect puzzle—consistently stalling his side’s attacking efforts down the left flank. Fortunately for him, his teammates step up, ensuring his underwhelming performance doesn’t leave a mark. His assist for Reijnders, with Inter completely outbalanced, is hardly enough to make up for his overall display.

Milan coach: Sergio Conceiçao 7 – Amid endless speculation about his expected departure at the end of the season, his focus remains firmly on securing another trophy—one that could be the silver lining of what will likely be remembered as the most turbulent spell of his coaching career for some time. Keeping the team functioning and fully focused in an environment as tense as Milan’s right now is, without doubt, a remarkable achievement.
